About the Role
As an Optical Sales Associate, you will be the face of the practice—guiding patients through their eyewear selections, delivering product expertise, and ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and assist all patients with professionalism and a welcoming approach
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate eyewear solutions
- Drive sales through product recommendations and upselling
- Attract and build new clientele while fostering long-term relationships
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge across frames, lenses, and optical options
- Accurately fit glasses and ensure proper lens placement
- Utilize point-of-sale systems and maintain accurate transaction records
- Collaborate with opticians and team members to deliver optimal results
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and request referrals
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales environments
- Optical or medical office experience is an asset
- Comfortable using POS systems, computers, and technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to assess and respond to customer needs
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and results-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a positive attitude
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
- Health, dental, and vision insurance (50% employer contribution for health and dental)
- 401(k) plan eligibility after 1 year
- Paid time off and 4 paid holidays after 60 days

Schedule
- Full-time, 8-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday with weekend availability as needed
- Closed on major holidays
