Museum Aide

Company: Museum Disability History Location: Nassau County Job Status: Temporary Part Time Date Posted: 5/14/2026 Pay Rate: $25.00-$30.00

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors to the museum and provide them basic information.
• Handle visitor admission and membership sales using point of sale system.
• Process purchases from kiosk items by visitors using point of sale system.
• Lead small group tours and answer visitor questions.
  
  

Qualifications & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail; second language a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency (training on point of sale system will be provided).
• Previous museum experience and/or disability history knowledge preferred.
