Job Description:
As a Cook at the Tasting Room, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences that complement the world-class wines of Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards. With a minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience, you will assist in the preparation and execution of a diverse menu, showcasing the flavors of the region and highlighting seasonal ingredients. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment and contribute to the success of our culinary offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Execute mise en place and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate food preparation and service, ensuring timely and efficient execution during peak hours.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to uphold standards of excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation, storage organization, and product ordering as needed.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for menu development, specials, and promotions to enhance the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas, adhering to cleaning schedules and procedures.
