Position: Registered Nurse, Breast Navigator
Role: Acts as a clinical resource, advocate, educator, and counselor for breast disease oncology patients. Coordinates patient care, provides expert nursing services, and serves as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team members. Implements patient education, supports decision-making, and promotes evidence-based practice through research and quality improvement initiatives. Participates in community education and maintains clinical expertise through ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate, comprehensive nursing care and patient education on breast health and disease.
- Serve as the main contact for patients and families, coordinating tests, appointments, and treatments.
- Facilitate communication among healthcare providers and support patient decision-making and access to resources.
- Mentor staff, review policies, and lead quality improvement projects.
- Engage in research, promote evidence-based practice, and participate in community outreach and educational events.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical oncology experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN) certification required; AOCNS preferred.
- CPR certification required.
