Responsibilities
- Review consultation requests, obtain patient history, and communicate with radiologists.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring understanding and comfort.
- Follow radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and self.
- Perform routine CT scans, evaluate image quality, and demonstrate anatomy.
- Assist with CT-guided procedures such as drainages and biopsies.
- Prepare and administer contrast media, monitor lab values, and ensure patient consent.
- Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and ensure a clean work environment.
- Complete documentation, safety inspections, and report issues promptly.
- Utilize radiology software and participate in ongoing education and special assignments.
- One year CT scan experience preferred.
- ARRT-CT certification and BLS certification required.
- Associates Degree in a related field.
- Strong communication, confidentiality, crisis management, customer service, and electronic health record skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and demonstrate technical competency.
