Life Enrichment; Job Summary Introduction

Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SNF Director of Life Enrichment to join our team and enhance the lives of our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care and a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of older adults.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, recreational therapy, social work, or a related field preferred
- Current active, Activity Director Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior care setting, with a strong understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of older adults
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of life enrichment staff members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to develop and implement engaging and meaningful life enrichment programs for our senior residents
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive life enrichment program that promotes the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our senior residents.
- Plan and coordinate a variety of engaging activities, events, and outings that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that the life enrichment program aligns with the individual care plans of our residents.
- Oversee the budget and resources for the life enrichment department, and ensure that all activities and events are cost-effective and beneficial for our residents.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of life enrichment staff members, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure the success of the program.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident participation in life enrichment activities, and use this information to continuously improve and tailor the program to the needs of our residents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community environment that promotes socialization, connection, and a sense of purpose for our senior residents
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
