Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, creativity, and consistency
- Follow established recipes and menu plans to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive customer service when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
