Industrial Accounts Support Specialist

Be the go-to partner for our industrial customers. You will manage accounts end-to-end—pricing, availability, shipping updates—and respond quickly via phone, email, and in-person interactions within an industrial distribution setting.

The line lights up with a request for a rush quote. You confirm availability, coordinate with inventory and the warehouse to minimize shipments and cost, and place an accurate order. A billing question comes in next—you take ownership, track down the root cause, and align the right teams to resolve it. You spot an add-on item that fits the customer’s application and recommend it, then follow up proactively so they always know where things stand.

• Receive, process, and coordinate customer orders, quotations, returns, and credits in line with company policies and standards.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, credit, inventory control, warehousing, the fabrication shop, and other departments to meet customer needs.
• Reduce shipment counts while controlling costs to satisfy delivery requirements.
• Own and resolve order entry, shipping, and billing errors by partnering with the appropriate departments.
• Build practical technical understanding of our products and services to streamline the order process.
• Grow revenue by highlighting promotions and recommending complementary products at the point of order.
• Follow up consistently so customers remain informed about the status of their requests.
• Develop and sustain strong service-oriented relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Complete the training curriculum and demonstrate proficiency as outlined by management.
• Pitch in with other duties as assigned.

• Comfort with business systems; experience with JDE and HydraList is preferred.
• Microsoft Windows and Office familiarity is a plus.
• Solid arithmetic skills, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and measurements.
• Ability to read blueprints and/or measurements is preferred.

• Clear, professional verbal and written communication.
• At least 1 year of customer service or sales experience.
• 1 year thriving in a multitask, time-sensitive environment.
