Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions and cash handling.
- Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement.
- Upsell products by effectively communicating their benefits to customers.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
- Assist in training new staff members as needed, utilizing supervising experience when applicable.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
- Proficient in retail sales techniques, including upselling and merchandising strategies.
- Experience with cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Ability to operate POS systems efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including bilingual capabilities if applicable.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and stock levels.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
