The UPS Store is seeking motivated individuals for our Managerial Apprenticeship program. This position will start at $15 per hour while completing the l Apprenticeship program. If all requirements are met during training you will be transitioned into a full time salary role
This unique opportunity is designed for those looking to gain hands-on experience in retail management while developing essential skills in customer service, sales, and operations. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced managers to learn the ins and outs of running a successful store, preparing you for future leadership roles within our organization.
Duties
- Assist in supervising daily store operations to ensure a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct product demonstrations and promote services to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices.
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Implement upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive shopping experience.
- Train and mentor new staff members on store policies, procedures, and best practices in customer service.
- Maintain effective communication with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Sales Experience
- Proficiency in basic math and retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering responsibilities is highly desirable.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances our ability to serve a broader customer base.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stocking procedures is beneficial.
