Position Summary
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of The UPS Store, helping customers with shipping, printing, packaging, mailbox services, document solutions, notary services, and other business needs. You will provide professional recommendations, solve customer challenges, and ensure every customer leaves with an exceptional experience.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting every customer professionally.
- Process domestic and international shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Recommend shipping, printing, mailbox, packaging, and business solutions based on customer needs.
- Produce high-quality print jobs including business cards, flyers, banners, posters, signs, blueprints, brochures, and marketing materials.
- Operate digital printing, finishing, laminating, binding equipment.
- Package valuable items using professional packing techniques.
- Receive and distribute mailbox mail and packages.
- Assist customers with mailbox rentals and renewals.
- Perform notary public services (if commissioned).
- Operate the point-of-sale system while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory.
- Answer phones, emails, and customer inquiries professionally.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Support opening and closing procedures.
- Follow all UPS Store operational, safety, and compliance standards.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Retail, hospitality, printing, shipping, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience at The UPS Store, FedEx Office, Staples, Office Depot, or a print shop.
- Experience with graphic design, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or digital printing.
- Experience with wide-format printing and finishing equipment.
- Virginia Notary Public Commission is a strong advantage.
Schedule
- Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Flexible availability including evenings and holidays is preferred.
