Job Summary
The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options. Very fast-paced, customer obsessed environment. Professional, customer-facing, solution driven experience preferred.
The ideal candidate has previous retail and or customer service experience, is resourceful, reliable, presents a friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful demeanor at all times. Candidates must have the ability to learn quickly, have flexible availability to support retail hours, and be able to carry, lift, and transport boxes 40-50 lbs.
We are hiring for both part-time and full-time positions. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday, as well as occasional Saturday shifts. There may be opportunities for additional hours.
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos to enhance customer understanding and interest.
- Process transactions accurately using the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by replenishing merchandise and ensuring shelves are stocked appropriately.
- Utilize basic math skills to calculate prices, discounts, and change for customers.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations within the store.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash register operations is advantageous.
- A strong ability to sell products and engage customers is essential.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
