Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. You will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Additionally, you will be fundamental in setting the culture at our new store. Your ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and promote our products and services will be key to your success.
Our ideal candidate has prior retail and customer service experience, great verbal and written communication, and most importantly a can-do attitude with the ability to solve problems as they arise. In this role, you will assist customers with their shipping, printing, packing and other small-business needs, and promote product and service offerings through effective education and communication.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and education on product and service offerings to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Mantain a standard of phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Supervise new staff during their onboarding process, providing guidance on store policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
- High school degree or its equivalent.
- Ability to qualify to become a Washington State Notary Public.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
