Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock control
- Lead and supervise team members, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Handle sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems and manage cash handling procedures
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Coordinate purchasing activities and oversee pricing adjustments to optimize profitability
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and participate in interviewing potential candidates for retail positions
- Oversee scheduling, shift management, and ensure compliance with store policies and safety regulations
- Engage in marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and enhance community presence
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and maintain organized administrative records
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales or store management with a focus on team supervision and customer service excellence
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, sales management, and merchandising strategies
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in a retail environment is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math principles
- Experience with recruiting, employee training & development, budgeting, and payroll processing is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff
