Salary

The annual salary for this position ranges from $62,000 to $66,625. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Purpose of Position

The Employee Engagement Specialist reports to the Director of Engagement and HR Project Management and coordinates and supports a wide range of employee engagement initiatives and projects that strengthen organizational culture and improve the employee experience at UTA.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the institution’s employee recognition platform and programming, recognition communications, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Coordinate nomination tracking, reward coordination, programming, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure effectiveness and alignment with engagement goals.
  • Coordinate and produce the People and Culture (P&C) newsletter, including leading content planning meetings, writing or editing articles, managing contributor submissions, and coordinating publishing and distribution. Ensure newsletter content aligns with institutional messaging and employee engagement priorities.
  • Plan and deliver campus-wide engagement touchpoints including new employee orientation sessions, engagement roadshows, and division or department-level engagement events. Create and present content that connects employees to UTA’s mission, values, and culture.
  • Coordinate logistics, marketing, and messaging for engagement programming across multiple work modalities.
  • Track project metrics and key performance indicators; translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for Director of Engagement and HR Project Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in employee engagement, human resources, organizational development, or a related experience OR six (6) years of equivalent combination of education and experience leading or supporting employee engagement projects, including coordinating logistics, stakeholders, and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with institution-wide employee feedback surveys

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm
  • Requires occasional evening or weekend hours
  • Hybrid work environment (remote & office)
