Job Brief
The Parts Specialist & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is in stock. This individual will lead the cycle counts in a program to identify and eliminate any problems found in daily cycle counts.
Responsibilities
- Complete regularly scheduled cycle counts.
- Apply ways to enhance inventory control procedures.
- Inspect the levels of supplies and raw material to identify shortages.
- Establish product stock is sufficient for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
- Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
- Work with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
- Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas and operate in a manner that promotes safety.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouses.
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations to support internal and external customers.
- Receive parts/products from customers and vendors quickly and accurately.
- Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute material within the warehouse.
- Sort and place materials in designated areas in the warehouse.
- Record distribution of materials and ensure resupply of materials as needed.
- Maintain inventory of service department and assist in annual counting of inventory.
- Follows correct PO process to order supplies needed for warehouse.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of general warehouse knowledge, preferred.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Must have and keep a clean driving record.
- Ability to recognize the need for urgency of speedy pickup and delivery.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to safety standards.
- Basic math skills necessary for counting cartons and products quickly.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and the ability to lift, up to, 50 pounds.
Other Duties
This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. Occasional overtime may be required.
