Purpose Dr. Diego Romero seeks to hire 3 Undergraduate or Master’s Senior Student Associates (SSAs) to perform data collection and cleaning tasks for projects related to corruption and organized crime, entrepreneurship and petty-corruption, and migration. The students will perform tasks consisting of looking for administrative data and manually coding datasets according to provided coding manuals. *Please note that working knowledge of Spanish is required if you want to apply to work on the corruption and organized crime project. Responsibilities Data collection and review Data analysis and cleaning Manual coding of data sets Basic literature review Required Qualifications Proficiency in Excel Working knowledge of Spanish (for the corruption and organized crime project) Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Public affairs or political science major Basic programming skills in R Salary Range $15/hour depending on student classification Working Conditions Typical office environment.
