Job Summary
The Grounds Maintenance Leader will provide supervisory and technical skills in planning, organizing, and directing the care and maintenance of grounds. Responsible for the maintenance and general beautification of all grounds including gardens, landscaped areas, and parking areas.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED .
- Three (3) years of experience in grounds maintenance
- This position requires a Texas Class “C” Operator’s Driver’s License and three (3) years of acceptable driving history.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Accuracy in maintaining an efficient and workable landscaping program.
- Schedules and assigns work to crews of groundskeepers engaged in seeding, weeding, fertilizing, and general care of grounds such as cutting grass; trimming and edging sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds; and watering lawns, trees, shrubbery, hedges, seedlings, and flowers.
- Supervises the pruning, spraying, planting, and transplanting of a large variety of trees and shrubs. Supervises the removal of leaves, grass, dirt, and rubbish from grounds as well as the rolling, packing, and maintaining of athletic fields.
- Requisitions and distributes materials and equipment for grounds maintenance work.
- Supervises the use, maintenance, and repair of tools and machinery. Plans and supervises operation of a greenhouse.
- Provides special care for unusual types of plants and makes independent decisions on the type of treatment to be given to problem plants and trees. Performs related duties as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
