Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships (CYFCP) builds the capacity of families, service providers, researchers, teachers, and communities to promote the well-being of children and youth. In partnership with colleagues from across the university and the community, the center carries out basic, applied, and action research; translates research into effective programs and practice; infuses community perspectives into university research and teaching; facilitates strategic problem-solving processes; and promotes programs, practices, and policies that yield positive outcomes for children and their families.

Position Summary
The Assistant Program Manager North Carolina Voices Amplified (NCVA) position supports the planning, execution, and oversight of programs and projects within NCVA. This role works closely with the Program Manager, center leadership, program staff and stakeholders to ensure that program objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget. This position contributes to program planning, monitors progress on grant deliverables, manages data collection, and facilitates communication among stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with 3 or more years of professional experience
Lived experience

Professional experience in at least three of the following five areas (Note: Applicants should detail relevant experience in their cover letter)
1. Experience reviewing, implementing, and supporting quality implementation.
2 Experience developing and providing technical assistance and training
3. Experience collecting, interpreting, and presenting data
4. Ability to independently formulate solutions and recommendations based on analyses/evaluations, information, and data
5.Experiencing using data to problem-solve and develop a continuous quality improvement process across systems
Exceptional verbal written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates

Preferred Qualifications
  • Lived experience as the primary caregiver of an individual with serious emotional or behavioral challenges or- an individual who has lived experience with serious emotional or behavioral challenges before the age of 18.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Experience in the direct provision of oversight of children’s mental health services.
  • Ability to work cooperatively by demonstrating professional, ethical and respectful behavior.
