Job Title: Food and Beverage Intern – Liberty Hill (Seasonal)

Reports to: Food and Beverage Leadership Team

Objective: The Food and Beverage Intern is responsible for supporting daily front-of-house food and beverage operations while gaining hands-on experience within a private club environment. This position develops a comprehensive understanding of service standards, banquet execution, and overall operational flow from event and service planning through execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with all Liberty Hill departments and become familiar with Union League operations and service standards.
• Onboard and train alongside managers within dining rooms, banquet operations, and clubhouse outlets.
• Learn and assist with daily service including set-up, execution, and breakdown of dining and banquet functions.
• Assist in reviewing, understanding, and executing banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and daily operational communication.
• Support management during service while engaging professionally with members and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper presentation of all service areas.
• Observe scheduling, staffing models, and operational planning based on business levels.
• Assist with administrative tasks including menu updates, POS input, and operational documentation.
• Support inventory processes and organization of beverage, storage, and service areas.
• Work collaboratively with culinary, banquet, and front-of-house teams.
• Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by food and beverage leadership.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Hospitality, Business, or related academic program preferred.
• Previous service experience (hosting, bussing, serving, food running, etc.) preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and assist with light lifting as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, teammates, members, and guests.
• Must maintain flexibility and a willingness to work across multiple service areas.
  
  

Schedule

Seasonal summer position. Must have open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

• Liberty Hill has several mandatory workdays for banquet staff. 2026 dates listed below
• Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10th- All Staff 
• Independence Day Celebration Wednesday, July 1st- All Staff
