Payroll Administrator – Full-Time | Plain City, Ohio
The Tradesmen Group LLC (TTG) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our team at our headquarters in Plain City, OH. This is a full-time position ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll processing and a passion for accuracy and organization.
TTG is a 100% employee-owned construction company specializing in the restoration and rehabilitation of historic structures across the eastern United States. With regional offices in Washington, DC and Nashville, TN, we are proud to be a leader in preserving architectural heritage.
Position Overview:
As Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of payroll processing for TTG employees. You’ll ensure timely and accurate payroll operations while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update payroll systems with accurate employee data, pay rates, deductions, and direct deposit details
- Review and verify timekeeping records, including overtime, PTO, holidays, and alternate schedules
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve discrepancies in timesheets
- Process weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues
- Generate payroll reports to support finance and HR functions
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience in a corporate environment
- Familiarity with electronic fund transfer (EFT) payroll processing
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and prevailing wage laws (Davis-Bacon Act)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Teams, and general payroll software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
