We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Payroll, AP & Compliance Manager to support critical business operations at our Bridgeport WV office.. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing financial processes with compliance and safety responsibilities, takes ownership of their work, and wants to make a meaningful impact across multiple areas of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:&
&
Payroll & Accounts Payable
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles in Paycor, including maintaining employee pay records and ensuring accurate, timely disbursement
- Reconcile payroll registers prior to processing and resolve discrepancies before reimbursement
- Administer payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
- Coordinate year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation and distribution through Paycor
- Respond to employee inquires related to pay, deductions, and Paycor self-service functionality
- Review, code, and route vendor invoices to the appropriate project or cost center in accordance with the company chart of accounts
- Own the accounts payable process end-to-end, including invoice intake, coding/approval workflow, weekly check runs and ACH/EFT disbursements, and document retention
- Maintain vendor master records and W-9 documentation; manage annual 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC analysis and reporting
- Reconcile the accounts payable subledger to the general ledger at month-end and assist with AP aging analysis and reporting&
- Support month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and cutoff procedures&
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve invoice disputes, payment discrepancies, and statement reconciliation
Compliance and Safety
- Prepare monthly and annual safety reporting (e.g., incident metrics, OSHA logs, and internal compliance tracking)
- Ensure safety compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies
- Order and maintain safety supplies and inventory
- Perform 401(k) auditing and compliance activities&
HR & Administrative Support
- Administer workers' compensation claims, including incident/accident reporting, documentation, and coordination with carriers and internal stakeholders
- Manage and process unemployment claims&
- Conduct safety orientation for new hires
- Administer the drug testing program
- Assist with various HR projects as needed
Qualifications&
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field is required
- Understanding of OSHA compliance, payroll compliance, and accounts payable processes is highly desired; experience with Paycor is a plus
- Excellent organizational, communication, and administrative skills
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach, and a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient with office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
- Occasional overtime and travel to other office locations may be required
