The Tea Shoppe is currently looking for waitstaff. Hours are flexible around your school schedule. About 20 hours a week. Must work weekends and through the holidays. Pay is $2.13/hour plus tips. With tips, hourly is generally $10-$15/hour.
Candidates must be professional, hardworking and energetic, have good verbal skills, provide excellent customer service, able to work within a team environment, be thorough, have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.

Overview
In this lively role, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes their orders, and ensures every visit is memorable. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
- Ability to multitask efficiently with excellent time management skills during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, or food preparation is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order accuracy; previous kitchen or food industry experience is a plus.
