Behavior Technician (RBT) (VIP of reinforcement, connection, and fun)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- FUN!
- Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude focused on the success of clients and dedication to the culture of TALK
- Direct implementation of a behavior-analytic treatment plan developed by a
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or Speech Language Pathologist
- Data collection to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan
- Complete other essential components (e.g. session notes) as trained and advised by the supervising BCBA, to allow for documentation and billing for services
- Participation in staff development, education, and training programs as directed
- Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members
- Communication with caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by a
RBT
- Adhere to organizational policies and abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Maintain a physical environment conducive to learning
- Maintain a Registered Behavior Technician certification
- Maintain CPR/first aid certification
-Other tasks as may be deemed appropriate and necessary by the immediate supervisor and/or the administrative team.
Qualifications:
-18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Registered Behavior Technician
- DOJ background clearance and TB clearance
- Proof of driver’s license
- Written documentation from an authorized medical professional for all TALK
ABA, Inc. required immunizations
- Completion of all TALK specific onboarding processes and documentation
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (e.g. squatting, crawling, sitting, standing, knelling) for extended periods of time as well as be able to lift a 35-50 pounds.
Equipment/Material Handled:
The Registered Behavior Technician will be provided with a variety of treatment materials, which are to be appropriately stored and accounted for. A reference library, consisting of privately and TALK owned resources is to be adequately maintained to provide quick and acceptable assistance.
TALK works diligently to make sure that there are extensive options for therapy materials and it is expected that the RBT keep materials in excellent working condition at all times. Personal items may be kept, but should be appropriately separated.
