The Sussex Saloon — Kitchen Assistant / Prep Cook / Dishwasher
Responsible for assisting the line cook, preparing ingredients, washing dishes, and keeping the kitchen and entire restaurant clean and ready for service.
Duties include:
- Assist the line cook with food preparation and orders as directed.
- Wash, cut, portion, label, and properly store ingredients.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize counters, work areas, and equipment.
- Sweep and mop floors throughout the entire restaurant.
- Clean bathrooms, dining areas, and other restaurant spaces.
- Collect trash and recycling and take them to the designated outdoor areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures.
- Restock supplies and complete opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Help coworkers and perform other restaurant duties as needed.
Pay: $16.00 - $16.01 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 – 25.0 per week
Work Location: In person
