Position Summary
A Music and Movement Part-Time Teacher leads engaging classes and activities designed for parents/caregivers and young children to participate. The instructor creates a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment that encourages bonding, early childhood development, and social interaction.
Responsibilities
- Potentially lead a mommy and me music and movement program.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including music, movement, sensory play, storytelling, and group games
- Foster positive interaction between caregivers and children
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom or activity space
- Monitor children’s participation and ensure activities are developmentally appropriate
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents/caregivers
- Set up and clean up materials before and after classes
- Encourage participation and create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere
- Follow all health, safety, and program policies
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
- Background in early childhood education and teaching music and movement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Energetic, patient, creative, and dependable
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to lead groups and engage both children and adults
