Summary:

Under general direction from the Achieve supervisor, the Achieve Group Leader is responsible for leading & engaging with the participants & staff in all activities of the program. The Achieve Group Leader is expected to collaborate with parents, administrators, and program supervisors in order to provide appropriate social and communicative experiences for all participants. The Achieve Group Leader is expected to participate in on-going trainings on behavior management, curriculum development, communication skills, and social/emotional development.

Essential Functions:

· Support participants with special needs during all activities of programs.

· Maintain confidentiality of all our participants and their families.

· Keep participants safe during program.

· The ability to be patient and learn in times of struggle for participants.

· Demonstrate respect and sensitivity towards participants and families.

· Participate in on-going trainings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time Monday-Friday seasonal-Summer position.

Required Education and Experience

Knowledge and 5 YEARS experience working with children and children with special needs.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong communication and people skills

Understanding of special needs that children could have

Patience

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,750.00 per month

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
