Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

Location: Chicago

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 bonus full benefits

We’re working with a rapidly growing infrastructure contractor delivering critical water and wastewater rehabilitation projects across the US. With significant investment, expanding project pipelines, and long-term municipal frameworks in place, they’re looking to bring in a Project Manager to help drive delivery across their Chicago operations.

This is not a maintenance role. You’ll be leading complex, high-value infrastructure projects that directly impact communities, from ageing sewer systems to large-scale rehabilitation programmes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing full lifecycle delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure projects (planning through to close-out)
• Overseeing trenchless rehabilitation works including CIPP, pipe bursting, and manhole rehab
• Acting as the key point of contact for municipalities, engineers, and internal teams
• Driving programme schedules, budgets, and commercial performance
• Leading project teams across field and office functions
• Ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across all project phases

What they’re looking for:

• Experience delivering water/wastewater or civil infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of underground utilities, ideally within trenchless or rehab environments
• Proven ability managing multiple projects and stakeholders
• Commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets and project performance
• Background as a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or similar
