The State University of New York is searching for exceptional students to join the SUNY Digital Engagement web management team as web content developers and editors.
The web management team works to implement SUNY's online media strategy; develop responsive, engaging, and optimized websites and content; generate inbound traffic to SUNY's web properties; interact with constituents in an open and transparent manner; and develop brand awareness.
The team is led by SUNY's Manager of Digital Engagement.

- Create and edit accessible and optimized web content that is universal in reach
- Develop meaningful, quantifiable efforts and performance reports on SUNY web properties
- Collaborate with all 64 campuses to develop content about SUNY's students, faculty, staff and alumni
- Engage in responsible, open and transparent conversations relating to SUNY or higher education
- Team players: constantly collaborating with each other and with professionals throughout SUNY
- Communicators: developing clear and concise content for broad audiences
- Initiators: brainstorming outside the box and always going the extra mile
- Organizers: planning ahead and determining the best ways to develop web content in an optimized and efficient manner
- Thinkers: analyzing data and making decisions based on that data
Applicants are expected to have:
- Knowledge of web development trends and software
- HTML, CSS, Javascript knowledge and skills. Familiarity with Wordpress or TerminalFour CMS a plus but not required.
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Video, and audio editing capabilities are a plus
