OPS FISCAL ASSISTANT I

Your Specific Responsibilities:

• Verify collection list for payment status before it goes to collections.
• Remove pending collections accounts not eligible to be sent.
• Contact Client Insurance and obtain pre-authorization for Dental Services
• Attach approvals or denials of Preauthorization's in HMS.
• Write notes in HMS and Dentrix of client responsibility per Preauthorization's.
• Work with Billing Hub to reconcile client and insurance payments when there are discrepancies
• Provide Billing Hub with requested documentation (x-rays, Dr Notes, etc…)
• Assist Billing Hub to find clients in HMS.
• Make account corrections requested by Billing Hub.
• Verify dental insurance coverage and eligibility of clients.
• Verify account balances and make any necessary corrections prior to client arrival.
• Participate in monthly fiscal TEAMS meeting.
• Answering the dental calls and actioning the request

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
• Knowledge of computer software including applications
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
• Communicating effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience

Qualifications:

Minimum:

A high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of clerical experience.

Valid Florida Driver's License
