The Staff Pad is partnering with a healthcare organization to hire a Prep Cook to support daily food preparation in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and handle food in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and production sheets
- Assist with forecasting food quantities based on menu and census needs
- Perform basic cooking techniques (chopping, dicing, roasting, grilling, steaming, etc.)
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately to ensure consistency
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, including proper food labeling and storage
- Monitor food quality and participate in daily production and quality control processes
- Assist with inventory, reporting low stock, and supporting ingredient ordering
- Provide support with dishwashing and kitchen coverage as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and report equipment or workplace concerns

Requirements
Qualifications
- 1 year of food preparation or kitchen experience required
