What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building and Grounds - Maintenance and Janitorial position at The Skunk Train?
The world-famous Skunk Train is a standard gage passenger railroad that was founded in 1885, and operates 40 miles between Fort Bragg and Willits, in Mendocino County, California.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General janitorial duties at the depot, depot grounds, and on board the trains including washing of railcars and locomotives.
- Minor maintenance and repairs at the depot, on depot grounds and on board the trains.
- Proper use of janitorial and related supplies.
- Proper use of small powered hand tools.
- Fuel and clean railroad vehicles.
- Assist with special events as needed.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Neat and highly organized with attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
