What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Door / Host (16+) position at The Skate Haus?
Overview
The Skate Haus is a structured, safety-first skating and entertainment venue.
We operate under Pull Up™ for Inclusion, meaning everyone is welcome — and rules protect access for all guests.
This is not a traditional customer service role. This is a guest flow and safety role.
This role IS for you if you:
- Are calm under pressure
- Can follow systems and scripts
- Are comfortable enforcing rules
- Respect leadership and structure
This role IS NOT for you if you:
- Avoid conflict
- Dislike structure
- Prefer flexibility over consistency
- Want to improvise or debate rules
Responsibilities
- Control entry flow and guest lines
- Confirm waivers are completed before entry
- Clearly communicate expectations to guests
- Enforce no re-entry policy
- Keep the entry area calm, organized, and clear
- Escalate issues to security or the owner immediately
Requirements
- Must complete mandatory training and certification
- Must follow The Skate Haus standards at all times
- Weekend and evening availability required
No training = no shifts
Pay: $15.00 per hour
