What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skate Rink Attendant (16+) position at The Skate Haus?
We’re looking for friendly, energetic, and reliable team members to help keep The Skate Haus safe, fun, and welcoming for all guests. Skate Haus operates as a structured, safety-driven environment. Our rink attendants are responsible for protecting skaters through calm, consistent rule enforcement.
As a Skate Rink Attendant, you’ll play a key role in daily rink operations and guest experience.
This role IS for you if you:
- Can give clear instructions
- Are comfortable correcting unsafe behavior
- Stay calm in busy environments
- Follow authority and escalation rules
This role is NOT for you if you:
- Want to skate while working
- Avoid enforcing rules
- Struggle with authority
- Get flustered by crowds
Responsibilities:
- Enforce skating direction and rink rules
- Stop reckless skating immediately
- Assist fallen skaters safely
- Keep walkways and exits clear
- Use whistle only as trained
- Escalate unsafe behavior to security or the owner
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 or older
- Friendly, outgoing, and dependable with strong communication skills
- Willing to work evenings and weekends
- Able to stay alert and proactive on the skating floor
Requirements:
- Must complete rink safety training
- No phones while on duty
- Must wear required uniform
Our Current Hours:
Thursday - 4:00 - 8:00 PM
Friday - 4:00 - 6:30 PM & 7:00 - 10:00 PM
Saturday - 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 2:00 - 4:00 PM, & 6:30 - 9:30 PM
Pay: $15.00 per hour
