The Server Store is a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience in the IT hardware industry, specializing in refurbished servers and parts. As a stable and growing company, we take pride in providing reliable service and long-term opportunities for our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Sales Support Associate who is organized, professional, team-oriented, and eager to grow. This role is ideal for someone with basic experience in B2B sales, technical sales or technical support, and has a desire to expand their knowledge of server hardware and the IT industry. You’ll work closely with our Sales Manager and cross-functional teams to respond to customer product inquiries, generate quotes, provide customer support, and to help ensure that the sales cycle for each customer runs smoothly.
This is a fully on-site position with strong potential for growth as you become more familiar with our products, systems, and customer base.
Compensation will be a blend of base, bonuses aligned with company objectives and growth, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Look up product availability and pricing in our internal system.
- Support B2B customers via email, phone, and Microsoft Teams with inquiries about price and availability.
- Generate quotes for customers and conduct scheduled follow-up communications with your recently quoted customers.
- Receive and process Purchase Orders (POs) accurately.
- Coordinate with internal departments—Accounting, Shipping, and Production—to ensure smooth order handling.
- Manage customer service issues, RMAs, and assist in issuing credit memos as needed with your customers.
- Actively support and learn from the Sales Manager to improve account handling and sales strategy.
- Assist with maintaining customer records, follow-ups, and post-sale communication.
- Provide timely and professional communication with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in B2B sales, technical sales, technical support, or customer service, preferably in the IT industry.
- Basic familiarity with IT servers, server components, and their purposes in the IT industry.
- Familiarity with business terms like PO, invoice, RMA, and credit memo.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and eagerness to learn about the IT hardware industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel).
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
- Enjoys working in a team environment yet takes ownership of problems and how to solve them.
- Has a positive mentality and enjoys working with others who do as well.
