Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on child & family counseling, social skills development, and behavioral health.
- Manage crisis intervention situations by creating safety plans and providing immediate support during behavioral or emotional emergencies.
- Collaborate with educators to develop effective behavior management strategies and support students with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Facilitate early intervention programs and conduct intake assessments for students requiring specialized services.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records of psychological testing, progress notes, and case management reports in compliance with school policies.
- Offer training sessions for staff on topics such as conflict management, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and social work principles.
- Work closely with families to coordinate services, provide resources for mental health support, and ensure consistent care across settings.
- Support students’ social-emotional development by designing programs that promote positive behavior management and resilience.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state certification/license as a School Psychologist or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience working with children in educational settings; prior school experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, psychological testing methods, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.

Pay: $55.00 - $71.00 per hour
