Qualifications
- Associate’s degree
- Three (3) years of experience in enterprise network infrastructure management.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in information systems, computer engineering, or a related field or advanced industry certifications in networking.
- Five (5) years of experience in enterprise network infrastructure management.
- Industry certification.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy required qualifications.

- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle up to and including large vans or (non-commercial) delivery trucks.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a 24x7 highly available and secure systems environment.
- Assist with evaluation of vendor products and recommend purchases consistent with the District’s short- and long-term objectives.
- Manage the enterprise storage environment including network attached storage and storage area networks.
- Assist with planning, selection, and installation of new servers and equipment in the datacenter.
- Perform server operating system (OS) installation, integration, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Maintain hardware inventory and work with hardware and software vendors for problem determination and resolution.
- Evaluate and support information security controls and inquiries for research or investigations.
- Utilize common industry and organizational tools for project management, technical support documentation, and communication.
- Assist with increasing team effectiveness by identifying and implementing best practices and identifying systems and toolsets that increase functionality, productivity, and compliance.
- Perform system, network, and input/output (I/O) performance monitoring and analysis.
- Report on system operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.
- Work with external vendors/consultants to diagnose complex problems and drive resolution.
- Participate in and support custom software releases and enterprise backups.
- Collaborate to develop and maintain the District’s disaster recovery/business continuity plan.
- Maintain the confidentiality of records and District information in accordance with accepted professional ethics, state and federal laws, and Board policy.
- Complete and maintain industry- and manufacturer-specific technical certifications related to the position.
