What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Center Attendant/Relief Program Aide position at The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp?
Schedule/Hours: M - S Afternoon/Evening Hours (29 Various Hours Per Week)
This position is responsible for:
Provides set up and break down for the Corps events and rentals. Monitors Corps facility while events are taking place to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in setting up rooms; sets up tables and chairs; puts ice in glasses and sets out drinks.
- Cleans rental event space/ location after event has taken place.
- Cleans any unoccupied areas while even is taking place.
- Verifies all occupants have left the facility when events are complete.
Physical requirements and working conditions:
- Ability perform general maintenance and cleaning activities for building and grounds.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read and communicate the English language.
- Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform event set up/break down and light custodial work.
- Abilit to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
- Ability to perform Continuous walking, stooping, standing, climbing.
- Work is performed in normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt and dust/ or disagreeable sights and orders.
- Empties trash cans before and after Corps events
- Drives Salvation Army Vehicle to pick-up miscellaneous items or transport passengers on occasion
- Perform other related task work as required

- High school diploma or GED
AND
- Six Months experience of monitoring/security; OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
License and certifications:
Valid Driver’s License
