Job description:

Are you a construction professional ready to join a diverse construction team of artists/carpenters? TRA Construction is team-oriented company, prioritizing positive work environment, dependability, and quality for our clients. We specialize in historic building restorations, renovations, additions & technical carpentry. We are seeking a detail-oriented Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee project planning, cost estimating, and execution of projects in and around Baltimore. This position requires strong leadership & analytical skills to manage projects from pre-construction to completion, the ability to manage costs, quality and customer satisfaction.


Job Title: Project Manager


Key Responsibilities:


  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents
  • Perform material take-offs and solicit subcontractor/supplier bids.
  • Coordinate with Sales & Operations teams to plan new projects
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Track pricing & quality trends for labor, materials, and subcontractor services.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage residential construction projects from start to finish.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications, quality and code standards.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Accurately maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and Gantt charts/progress reports.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction

  • What you bring:


    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
    • 3 years of experience in residential construction project management.
    • Proficiency in estimating & project management software.
    • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and materials.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
