We are seeking a detail-oriented carpenter to serve as an integral part of a carpentry team in the execution of exciting and diverse projects in and around Baltimore.
Job Title: Carpenter
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project superintendent in all aspects of carpentry
- Work Independently
- Train carpentry apprentices in proper use of tools, PPE, and carpentry best practices.
- Follow blueprints and shop drawings
- Layout of interior and exterior walls
- Install wood flooring
- Install crown molding, casing, trim
- Install kitchen cabinets
- Install wooden windows
- Measure, cut, and install stringers
- Routing to match existing profiles
- Install Hardi and cedar siding
What you bring:
- 5 years of experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction
- Hand and power tools
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.
- Willing to provide on the job training for Apprentice Carpenters
- Ability to climb extension ladders.
- Ability to work on roofs and other heights.
- Ability to work in crawl spaces and underneath homes or structures.
- Ability to work with tools, lumber and other materials.
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Reliable transportation
