Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to the general ledger
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations including bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts
- Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations to support management reporting
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including depreciation schedules
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies
- Support external and internal audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and process improvements
- Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory compliance requirements as needed
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis)
- Experience with ERP systems or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
