We are seeking a driven and hands-on Sous Chef to support kitchen leadership in a high-volume, seafood-driven restaurant. This role partners closely with the Chef de Cuisine to execute the culinary vision, maintain operational excellence, and lead a high-performing kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities
Culinary Execution
- Execute daily menus featuring fresh seafood and a robust oyster program
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards at all times
- Lead line execution during service and support all prep operations
Leadership & Team Development
- Train, mentor, and develop BOH team members
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-first kitchen culture
- Support staffing, scheduling, and performance management
Operations & Cost Control
- Monitor food, labor, and supply costs to meet financial targets
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and proper storage procedures
- Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance
Collaboration
- Partner with FOH leadership to ensure seamless service execution
- Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine on menu development and operational improvements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–4 years of Sous Chef or strong kitchen leadership experience
- Background in high-volume, seafood or chef-driven concepts preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced service environments
- Strong understanding of food cost, labor management, and kitchen systems
- Positive, team-oriented leadership style with strong communication skills
- Passion for quality ingredients, hospitality, and continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000 – $75,000
- Additional earnings through Kitchen Appreciation Fee Pool
- 2 weeks PTO (increases with tenure)
