Front of House Manager - Pizza & Bar | $50K+

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Front of House Manager / Pizza & Bar Leader to join an established, busy full-service pizza and bar concept in Darien, Illinois.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong FOH restaurant professional who knows how to lead a busy dining room and bar, manage servers and bartenders, control inventory, handle guest issues, and take ownership of nightly closing responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a lively, high-volume pizza and bar environment and who enjoys being hands-on with the team and guests.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead day-to-day FOH operations for a full-service pizza and bar restaurant
• Manage and support servers, bartenders, hosts, and FOH support staff
• Take ownership of the guest experience from arrival through close
• Oversee bar operations, including organization, cleanliness, product levels, and inventory
• Manage beer, wine, liquor, and other beverage inventory
• Monitor server and bartender performance and provide coaching and accountability
• Help manage staffing, scheduling, training, and team development
• Work the floor during busy dinner and weekend service
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure strong hospitality standards
• Monitor FOH and bar inventory and help control product usage and costs
• Complete nightly closing responsibilities and ensure the restaurant is properly secured
• Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain smooth FOH/BOH communication
• Ensure the dining room, bar, and service areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained
• Support cash-handling and restaurant closing procedures
• Help maintain food safety, alcohol service, and company standards

Schedule

Evening, weekend, and closing availability is required.

The restaurant closes at:

• Friday & Saturday: 11:00 PM
• Sunday–Thursday: 10:00 PM

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, and the required closing shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous FOH management or supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant
• Strong experience leading servers and/or bartenders
• Previous bar management or beverage leadership experience preferred
• Experience with restaurant and bar inventory
• Comfortable working closing shifts and weekends
• Strong understanding of full-service restaurant operations
• Excellent communication and team-leadership skills
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
• Comfortable working hands-on during busy service
• Reliable, organized, and willing to take ownership of the operation
• Pizza restaurant experience is a plus
• Food safety certification is a plus
• Alcohol service certification is a plus

Compensation

Starting around $50,000 annually, depending on experience and stability

Compensation will be based on the candidate’s restaurant management experience, leadership background, and overall fit for the operation.
