We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen of an upscale, ingredient-driven restaurant known for its wood-fired cooking, seasonal menus, and refined yet approachable dining experience.

 

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a chef who thrives in a high-volume, chef-driven environment and is passionate about delivering elevated cuisine with consistency and creativity. You will work closely with ownership and leadership to execute the culinary vision while managing day-to-day kitchen operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all back-of-house operations, ensuring excellence in execution and consistency
  • Uphold and evolve menu standards with a focus on seasonal, wood-fired, and scratch-made cuisine
  • Supervise, train, and mentor culinary team members, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost controls to meet financial targets
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with leadership on menu development, specials, and operational improvements
  • Drive efficiency and performance in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

 

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef in an upscale or chef-driven restaurant
  • Strong background in seasonal, scratch, and wood-fired cooking techniques
  • Proven leadership experience managing high-performing kitchen teams
  • Solid understanding of food cost control, labor management, and kitchen systems
  • Ability to maintain composure and lead effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Passion for hospitality, quality ingredients, and culinary innovation
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
