Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support operations within a fast-growing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) concept. This role is critical in stabilizing daily operations, leading shifts, and developing a strong, accountable team in a high-volume environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives under pressure, takes ownership of their role, and is ready to grow into a General Manager position in the near future.
Location
- Worcester, MA (primary focus – highest volume location)
- Randolph, MA (secondary location)
Key Responsibilities
Shift Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage shifts with a strong focus on execution, speed, and accuracy
- Direct team members during service and ensure smooth operations during high-volume periods
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and guest service
- Support cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and daily operations
Team Development & Accountability
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and real-time feedback to team members
- Help build and develop a strong bench of Shift Leaders
- Hold team members accountable to performance, attendance, and operational standards
- Foster a culture of reliability, urgency, and teamwork
Staffing & Scheduling Support
- Assist with scheduling and labor management (training provided)
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
- Help ensure proper staffing levels to support business needs
Inventory & Administrative Support
- Assist with inventory and ordering processes
- Maintain organization and support operational systems
What We’re Looking For
- Prior leadership experience (Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, or AGM) in a restaurant environment
- Experience in high-volume QSR or fast-casual concepts strongly preferred
- High-energy, multi-tasking mindset with a strong sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear direction
- Comfortable holding team members accountable and addressing performance issues directly
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to operational excellence
- Proactive decision-maker who takes initiative and ownership
Schedule & Expectations
- 45–50 hours per week
- 9-hour shifts
- Open availability between 10:30 AM – 1:00 AM, including nights and weekends
- Expected to work 4 nights per week
Compensation & Benefits
- $19–$21/hour (based on experience)
- 50% employer-paid health insurance
- 401(k) eligibility
- $100 bi-weekly gas stipend during training
- Paid training (4–6 weeks, may occur at another location)
