The Reeds at Shelter Haven is a full service, boutique hotel with 58 luxurious guestrooms and suites. This resort is located in the heart of Stone Harbor, New Jersey, a wealthy residential community and beach destination. Entering its Fifth season, The Reeds offers three world class restaurants and a robust banquet department. The hotel will host over 70 weddings per year and considered the premier destination resort.
The Reeds Management Team is actively seeking an Front Desk Agent who will be responsible for for warmly checking in and out all guests, providing information on hotel amenities, and addressing guest requests, questions, comments, and concerns to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience. They maintain up-to-date knowledge of all hotel details, including room types, dining options, and property information. They report to the Front Desk Lead to create a welcoming environment, support smooth operations, and deliver outstanding service that reflects the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Warmly greet, check-in, and check-out hotel guests in a kind, timely, and professional manner.
- Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of all hotel procedures, facilities, amenities, and scheduled events, and emergency procedures.
- Assist guests with all requests, questions, comments, concerns, and complaints.
- Assist guests by making reservations for dining, spa, events, or local activities as requested.
- Coordinate bank changes for the Front Office team with Accounting and maintain the house bank, handling all cash in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms are prepared for arrivals and promptly serviced when in need of cleaning.
- Maintain responsibility for an accurately balanced bank and distribute petty cash to employees as requested, in accordance with our bank policy; promptly notify your direct report of any discrepancies.
- Answer and field phone calls.
- Supply department heads with applicable reports, numbers, and information as needed.
- Ensure shift coverage in the event of call-outs to maintain smooth operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
