Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, and feedback professionally
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and serving
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently in fine dining settings
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including table setups, silverware, and beverage stations
- Handle cash transactions accurately with cash handling skills and basic math proficiency
Skills
- Extensive experience with food service operations in restaurants or nightlife venues such as nightclubs
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Strong culinary knowledge complemented by food preparation skills and understanding of food safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environments while multitasking seamlessly
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities without compromising guest experience
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, food handling procedures, and kitchen operations
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience in fine dining or high-volume settings preferred
- Basic math skills for accurate check processing and cash handling responsibilities
- Familiarity with nightclub or bar service environments is a plus
