Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and spiritually grounded Teenage Class Teacher to lead, teach, and mentor the teenagers of Arise Church. This individual will oversee the spiritual development of teens through Bible-based teaching, discipleship, and engagement using a structured curriculum. The teacher will work closely with the Pastor’s Wife, ensuring that all activities align with the church’s vision and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate weekly Bible study classes for teenagers.
- Teach using an approved, age-appropriate Christian curriculum.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and spiritually enriching environment for teens.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and counseling to individual teens when needed.
- Plan and implement spiritual growth activities such as devotionals, discussions, and group projects.
- Maintain class attendance records and track student progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding class updates and student engagement.
- Submit periodic reports to the Pastor’s Wife on progress, needs, and upcoming plans.
- Attend and participate in scheduled departmental and church meetings.
- Collaborate with other youth workers and ministry leaders for joint programs or church-wide events.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects Christian values.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Education, Theology, or Youth Ministry is a plus).
- Prior experience teaching or working with teenagers in a church or educational setting.
- Sound knowledge of the Bible and ability to teach doctrinally sound, age-appropriate lessons.
- Ability to use or adapt to a Bible study curriculum and develop engaging content.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player with a heart for mentorship and spiritual growth.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and attend child protection training.
- Availability for Sunday services, occasional weekday meetings, and special events.
