Industrial Motor Repair Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Industrial Motor Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial motors, generators, and mechanical systems. Duties

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues in industrial motors, generators, and power systems using schematics and diagnostic equipment
• Perform repairs on diesel engines, electrical components, mechanical systems, and power generation equipment with precision and attention to safety standards
• Conduct routine maintenance on industrial motors, small engines, and related equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend operational lifespan
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions through electrical diagnostics, schematic analysis, and mechanical inspections
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to execute repairs effectively
• Follow safety protocols during manual handling of heavy machinery and parts to ensure a safe working environment
• Document repair procedures, maintenance activities, and diagnostic findings accurately for record-keeping and future reference

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a service technician or mechanic in dealership or industrial settings with a focus on motor repair
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical work practices
• Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, generators, heavy machinery, and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with automotive repair techniques as they relate to industrial equipment is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other maintenance tools
• Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with troubleshooting skills for equipment repair and maintenance
• Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
• Knowledge of Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is a plus
• Relevant certifications in electrical work or mechanical repair are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $27.50 - $38.12 per hour
