Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on rotating machinery such as pumps, turbines, compressors, and motors using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, electrical blueprint reading, and electrical troubleshooting to identify issues accurately.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history for effective asset management.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using industrial mechanic experience, hydraulic systems knowledge, pneumatic system troubleshooting, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Execute welding (including welding if applicable), equipment repair, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machinery reliability.
- Operate field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing instruments to analyze electrical and mechanical systems.
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage work, HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts operation, and industrial maintenance procedures while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on schematics interpretation and equipment upgrades to improve system performance.
- Support customer service initiatives by providing technical support and clear communication during field service activities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety checks to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a strong focus on rotating equipment maintenance.
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial electrician practices including electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting pneumatic systems, hydraulics, and schematics reading.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters accurately.
- Experience with welding techniques specific to industrial settings ( welding preferred).
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by industrial mechanic experience in troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
- Proficiency in electrical systems maintenance including low voltage and high voltage applications; electrical blueprint reading is essential.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems integration, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
- Valid certification or experience operating scissor lifts safely in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing equipment failures quickly and effectively.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately; experience with HVAC/R systems is a plus.
- Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
- Prior military experience or background in industrial maintenance is advantageous but not required.
